All About Habitats

Learning about animals and their different habitats can be quite interesting.  Setting up one can be even more interesting.  We have taken on two class pets for a total of three new pets in addition to, of course, our previous pets (cats) Armani and Cashmere.  Learning to take care of cats can be a challenge as well.  Although their habitat, as house cats, is somewhat similar to ours it would appear that is should be easy enough.  So, seemingly not as difficult of a task.  Seemingly.  Although at some point you do pick up on things you could have done better.  For example, starting cats out eating their limited portion of food provides dividends in the long run.

However, taking care of more exotic animals and properly setting up their habitats is even more of a challenge.  These are some interesting things I’ve learned about these different animals and their habitats.  The different habitats we’ve learned about include: rainforest – like with hot temperatures and high humidity; tropical – slightly warmer temperatures and slightly lower humidity; and desert – hot temperatures and low humidity.

This page is dedicated to our home and class pets and the experience we’ve gained through learning about different habitats, setting up and maintaining these habitats, and learning to take care of animals/exotic animals.
